Last week we predicted our captain to fetch you an average of 15 points. He ended up getting us a total of 32 points. Just Fyi.
Our captain for gameweek 15 is a no-brainer. Sergio ‘Kun’ Aguero (12.9) literally wreaked havoc in fantasy football circles, and those who heeded our advice and captained him last week benefited the most. It is very difficult to understand why would somebody take a chance and not captain Aguero, especially when he is in such cracking form. An even more confounding statistic for me at this moment is to see only 37% of managers having Aguero in their teams! Why is common sense so uncommon?! Maybe that’s why we are here..A quick look at Aguero’s super numbers up till now:
Goal ATTEMPTS: 6.25
Shots on TARGET: 2
Shots from INSIDE the BOX: 4.75
POINTS per game: 9.5
A massive improvement in average points per game since last game week. Also, City play Everton this weekend, who have not quite been able to hold onto that clean sheet very well recently. Aguero seems to be the obvious choice for captain in gameweek 15.
Our first captain alternative for this week would be the returning Diego Costa (11.0). Costa has been delivering some consistent performances over the last few games that he has featured in, and should do your team well. However, frequent breaks from competitive action could also affect his gameplay and hence, his points. Hence, he features in our alternatives section this week.
Second captain alternative would be, a regular in the alternatives section – Alexis Sanchez (11.1). Oh yes, it always seems as if he is going to get that goal doesn’t it? A very gifted player, probably in the wrong team at the moment. But his never-die attitude on the field has had 36% fantasy managers have him – same percentage as that of Aguero. Even if you do not captain him, Sanchez is a must-have in your team
