Alexis Sanchez (11.5m) is our top choice for the Captain’s armband this week on the back of some excellent displays in the past 3 weeks. The Chilean winger has picked up ALL of his 6 Premier League goals in the past 3 games alone and is in the form of his life after a slow start to the season. With an average of 5 shots on target, 1.7 key passes and 3.1 successful dribbles per game, he has proven to be the difference for Arsenal up top and is a justified choice for captain as they take on Everton at home this week.

Newcastle’s new signing Wijnaldum (6.9m) comes a close second for the captain’s choice. The attacking midfielder showed his mettle with a devastating display against Norwich last week, and will be looking to make a similar impact this week as they take on a defensively shabby Sunderland side on the road. With a measly price tag and just 5.2% ownership among FPL managers, he can prove to be a nice differential option if chosen as Captain this week.

Lastly we have the in form Vardy (7.0m) who was just edged out by Wijnaldum owing to Newcastle’s easy fixture this week. The England international has been in stunning form and is quite rightly the top scorer currently in the league. Currently averaging 4.2 shots on target and 1.7 key passes per game, he is the safest option to bank on currently. We feel this is just the beginning and he has a lot more to offer in the coming weeks.
