Captain – Gameweek 4

This is a slightly difficult gameweek to choose a captain with so many good options.

Sergio Aguero (13.1m) hasn’t quite found his scoring touch yet with only one goal in 3 games. Aguero so far has made a goal attempt every 17 minutes with a strike accuracy of 63% which is higher than all other strikers who have had more than 10 attempts on goal! It’s only a matter of time until the former golden boot winner gets back into his stride and a home game against Watford definitely makes Aguero a safe bet to handover the captain’s armband this week.

Christian Benteke (8.5m) is our 2nd pick for the armband as the Reds host West Ham at home who conceded 4 goals against Bournemouth last week and Benteke should be raring to go against this weak defense.

Riyad Mahrez (6.0m) is our 3rd and final pick this week. 4 goals. 35 points. If there ever was a time to take a risk and handover the armband to this unconventional candidate, it’s now! Mahrez faces Bournemouth who have conceded 5 goals in 3 matches and you can count on him to carry his form into this fixture at the Vitality Stadium.
