Gameweek 35

Goalkeepers:

With 3 clean sheets and just 2 goals conceded in his last 5 games, Ospina (4.9) is our runaway choice for keeper this week as Arsenal pay a visit to Hull on Monday. Although Hull managed to power through the Double GW with two great results last week, we expect Arsenal to keep things tight at the back and pick up a third consecutive clean sheet.

Alternatives: Liverpool’s Mignolet (5.4) is our alternative pick as the Reds take on the struggling Rangers at home. Mignolet has conceded just one goal in his last 3 games and looks like a great option to consider this week.

Defenders:

Terry (6.9) and Azpilicueta (6.1) have racked up an impressive tally of 3 clean sheets in their last 4 games, and will be looking to get another nice shut out victory to clinch the title with 3 games to spare. Futhermore, their opponents this week, Crystal Palace, have failed to score in their last 2 games now, and look unlikely to cause any trouble for the Blues’ back four.

Arsenal’s Koscielny (6.0) and Leicester’s Morgan (4.4) have also been in good defensive form, with 2 clean sheets for each in their last 3 games. Both face off against easy opposition this week, and look likely to rack up another clean sheet this week. Finally, West Ham’s Jenkinson (5.0) is our last pick, as he faces off against a toothless Burnley side that has failed to score in the last 5 gameweeks now.

Alternatives: Liverpool’s Skrtel (6.0) and Southampton’s Clyne (6.1) are other options to consider in defence this week, as they face off against relatively easier opposition.

Midfielders:

In spite of drawing a blank in the double GW last week, Hazard (11.2) remains our first pick in midfield. A potential title winning home game seems to us like the perfect setup for the PFA Player of the Year to net his 14th goal of the season. Henderson (6.8) is another player who retains his spot, in spite of drawing a blank in the double GW. The Reds’ skipper had quite a few shots on goal and will be looking to get on the scoresheet as they take on QPR at home.

Sigurdsson (6.5) and Chadli (6.2) have both been in decent form lately, with 3 goals and 1 assist between the pair of them in the last 2 weeks. Chadli has scored in each of his last 2 games, and will be coming up against a leaky Manchester City side, who will be without Kompany and Toure this week.

Lastly, Arsenal’s in form Ramsey (8.6) is our final pick in midfield, as the Gunners’ impending double GW approaches on the horizon. Ramsey has picked up 2 goals and 3 assists in his last 5 games, and looks like an excellent option to hang onto until the end of the season.

Alternatives: Manchester United’s Mata (8.5) has drawn a blank in his last 2 games, and could prove to be an excellent differential option as they take on West Brom at home. Another option to consider in midfield is Everton’s Mirallas (7.2) who has scored in his each of his last 2 games, and will be looking to turn on the heat against a leaky Villa side that has conceded 9 goals in their last 4 games.

Forwards:

The league’s top scorer Aguero (12.5) leads the line for us after netting his 21st goal last week to make it 4 goals in 3 games for the mercurial Argentine. Leicester’s Vardy (4.7) also retains his spot on the team, after an excellent display last week, to make it 3 goals and 3 assists in his last 6 games. The budget friendly forward will be a major threat to Newcastle’s back four, who have managed to ship 8 goals in their last 3 games

Villa’s Benteke (7.5) is our final pick up front, in spite of drawing a blank last week in the 5 goal thriller at the Etihad. We expect the inform Belgian to be involved in goals this around as they take on Everton at home.

Alternatives: Arsenal’s Giroud (8.6) is an excellent option to invest in right now, keeping in mind their approaching double GW in Week 37. Spurs’ top scorer Kane (6.5) is another excellent option to think about as he faces off against a weakened Manchester City side who have conceded 8 goals in their last 4 games and will be without skipper Kompany at the back.
