Hello, again! As we get ready to enter Gameweek 24 of the EPL (also knows as BPL to some), here are our three possible choices for the Captain’s armband.
Sergio Aguero (12.7)
With Costa being ruled out of action for another two game weeks, Sergio Aguero emerges as a strong contender for the captain’s armband. Also, Manchester City face Hull City this weekend in their own backyard whicl adds mileage to our preference. The Tigers have had a very listless form in recent games which have pushed them to the brink of the relegation zone. Also, Manchester City would be desperate to get back to winning ways after last week’s draw against table toppers Chelsea. In this scenario, it would only be apt to predict that Aguero would be the player possessing the point scoring potential.
David Silva (9.4)
Also coming up against Hull city this weekend (which shows how bad a team Hull city have been in recent times), Silva has another chance to rake up the points and make up for the lost opportunities to get a good score on board. The spaniard is in tremendous form of late – in his last 358 minutes on the field, he has scored an average of 4.5 points per game, attempted 2.25 goals per game and had 0.75 shots on target per game. Okay, the last stat may seem not very appealing but it is in fact, the highest average anyone has managed in the last four games. And again, any in-form player that is playing against Hull City has a brilliant chance of scoring a lot of points.
Eden Hazard (10.8)
To be very honest, I have been counting on this player to work his magic since the past 5 gameweeks. After sometime, I lost faith (although I kept him in my team). But now it seems that my moment of reckoning has arrived, and we are due for some long awaited Hazard action. Considering the recent four games, Hazard has scored an average of 5.25 points, created 3.25 key passes and attempted 0.75 shots on target (same as Silva). Chelsea play Aston Villa this weekend, another team that has not been quite up to the mark (fun fact – Villa havent scored a single goal in their last 7 games!). Would not be very surprised if you bypassed the other options and went for Hazard.
