Captain: Gameweek 9

After nominating the same player as captain for 4 straight gameweeks, it seems that we successfully managed to jinx the player. Diego Costa did not feature in Chelsea’s last weeks fixture, and is most likely to sit-out the all important clash between ‘Teacher-Student’ at the Stamford bridge. Hence, after mush deliberation we have decided to hand over the armband to none other than Sergio Aguero (12.5).

After last weeks impressive performance against Spurs, followed by another goal in the champions league fixture, there is no denying the form this player is in. Another reason for this nomination is the speculation that Angel di Maria may not play the full 90 mins due to injury. Statistically speaking, Kun Aguero does not fare very badly (per game stats):

Goal ATTEMPTS: 4.5

Shots on TARGET: 2.5

Shots from INSIDE the BOX: 3.8

POINTS per game: 7

Not very bad, I say.

Our first runner-up for the captains nomination this week is Grazianno Pelle (8.2). The Italian striker is in amazing form, scoring a brace during Sunderland’s demolition display. He has continued his run of form since the beginning of the season and hence, there is no reason to think why he wont perform in this game week.

Second alternative captain choice would be a tie between ADM (10.2) and Cesc Fabregas (9.7). We are going with two-second alternatives for captain as there is some concern about ADM’s fitness levels for their game against Chelsea.
