Agreed that Diego Costa couldn’t penetrate the City defence, but he still managed to hit the post in that game. Luck didn’t favor him then, or probably it was just Lampard‘s day to score the equalizer and crush the hearts of the faithful blues. But no matter what, Lampard will still remain a legend for his professionalism and talent. That being said, Chelsea will be playing against a renewed Aston Villa team at Stamford Bridge. They are currently sitting third in the table. But Arsenal took them on last week and won with a comfortable margin of 3 goals. Additionally, their towering center back Ron Vlaar is still struggling with a calf injury, which could be excellent news for the blues.
Diego Costa is completely fit now and was also rested for Chelsea’s League cup game against Bolton Wanderers. He will definitely be hungry to increase his goal tally for the season and we’re going to be ready to capitalize on that hunger for this game week.
